The earliest iteration of the adage you need to crack out a million words to be a good writer is currently attributed to Ray Bradbury, who is quoted to have said, “Write a thousand words a day and in three years you’ll be a writer.”
Well, I’m probably not going to manage a thousand words a day. I’m slow at nearly everything I do, get easily distracted, and habitually procrastinate. But I do wish to improve my writing. So here I am, shamelessly flinging my error prone, mistake riddled scribblings onto this blog instead of hiding them away like I no doubt should.
If you find yourself in this dimly lit, rent-by-the-hour area of the internet and decide to hang around awhile, I hope you find something enjoyable to read. But it is okay if you think it’s all shit.
At some point or another, I probably will too.
